No. Lynqivo works entirely within your local network, with devices communicating directly. It runs just as well on an internal network with no outside connection.

Yes. Both devices must be on the same local network — Wi-Fi or wired, either works. Once connected, Lynqivo automatically discovers devices on that network that have receiving enabled.

No. Lynqivo does not depend on any server. Devices connect to each other directly, and there is no relay to set up.

Lynqivo sets no size limit — in theory there is none. Large files are handled through segmented transfer. In practice, what matters is whether the receiving device has enough free storage.

Yes. Select the entire folder and send it — no picking files individually and no zipping first.

In our test environment we measured 676 Mbps (roughly 84.5 MB/s) while transferring a 5.68 GB disk image. That network supports up to 1000 Mbps, so the ceiling is higher than the figure we measured. Actual speed depends on your local network bandwidth, the network adapters on each device, and the read/write speed of the disk holding the files — it varies considerably between environments. Lynqivo uses multi-threaded transfer to make the most of your local bandwidth.

Lynqivo supports resuming. If the network drops, a device sleeps, or you need to step away, completed progress is kept. Reconnect and the transfer continues from where it stopped.

Windows 10 / 11, macOS (Apple silicon only), Android 8.0 and above, and Linux (available as both deb and rpm packages). Versions for the App Store, Galaxy Store and major app stores in China are coming soon.

The current version does not support Windows 7. If you are still on Windows 7, we recommend upgrading to Windows 10 or 11, or using Lynqivo on another device.

The current macOS build supports Apple silicon (M-series) only. Intel-based Macs are not supported at this time. We will keep evaluating whether that can change.

Linux builds come as both deb and rpm packages. Use deb for Debian, Ubuntu and their derivatives; use rpm for RHEL, CentOS, Fedora and their derivatives. Download the matching package and install it with your system package manager.

An iOS version is planned but not yet released, and we do not have a date to share. Once it is live, the store link will appear on our download page.

No. Files move directly between devices. Nothing is uploaded to the cloud and nothing passes through a third-party server. When a transfer finishes, the file sits wherever you chose to put it.

Lynqivo communicates only inside your local network. Files never leave it and never pass through a third-party server — that is the main difference from cloud-based transfer tools. The current version does not additionally encrypt the transfer, so we recommend using it on a network you trust.

Every installer page lists a SHA256 checksum. After downloading, compute the SHA256 locally and compare it with the listed value — if they match, the file is intact. On Windows use certutil; on macOS and Linux use shasum or sha256sum.

Yes. With launch at startup enabled, Lynqivo starts with your system and stays ready in the background, so the device is discoverable by others on the same network as soon as it boots — no need to open the app manually. It suits a computer kept as a permanent receiving end.

Yes. With automatic receiving on, incoming files are accepted and saved to the folder you designated, without confirming each one. Combined with launch at startup, a computer can stay permanently ready to receive.
